Kyle Long became the latest player to reach 400 career points when the Springfield-Delco (Pa.) senior tallied eight points Tuesday.
The Maryland commit had six assists and two goals in a 16–10 win over Strath Haven (Pa.) to put him at 404 career points.
Long is No. 5 all-time in Pennsylvania in scoring after surpassing Matt Rambo (La Salle College) and Ryan Ambler (Abington) in the last week. He should pass Peet Poillon (Seneca Valley) before the regular season ends.
He is second on Pennsylvania’s all-time assist list, behind only Michael Sowers (Upper Dublin).
Long becomes the 81st player to reach the 400 club in boys’ lacrosse history. He joins a list that includes Owen Caputo (Middle Creek), Joe White (Collegiate), Sean Goldsmith (Northwest Guilford), Gavyn Pure (Dawson School) and Mikey Berkman (West Orange) who have all reached 400 points this season.
Long was recently named an Under Armour All-American and will play in the senior game at Johns Hopkins on June 30.
Where Kyle Long Ranks
Only Michael Sowers has more assists in a career than Long in Pennsylvania history. Long is the second player to reach 300 assists in a career in the state.
Long tied Ben Reeves (Palmyra-Macedon) with 307 career assists with his performance Tuesday.
Long is only the fifth player in state history to surpass 400 career points and needs seven points to move into 4th.

You Can Make a Difference
When I founded LaxRecords.com, I could have made it into a for-profit company, but I wanted to create something different - there's plenty of recruiting coverage available. I've worked hard over the last four years to keep all content free and open to everyone. My promise to you is that I will never charge for access to the content on LaxRecords.com.
I believe LaxRecords.com is something special. It is like a library or Wikipedia. A place to discover the history of lacrosse. To my knowledge, I am the only person doing this work in lacrosse.
If everyone reading this donated, my fundraiser work would be done within an hour. But not everyone can or will donate. And that's fine.
This year, please consider making a donation of $5, $20, $50 or whatever you can to protect and sustain LaxRecords.com. Can't afford that amount? How about $2 per month? I created a way to make a monthly, recurring donation. If you donate $2 per month, that's $24 per year. Added up over many of you, that makes a huge difference and helps continue improvements.
