Michael McCormack finished his final season with his second-best assist total of his career (90) and his third-best goal total (96). The Middleburg College commit became Massachusetts’ all-time leading scorer when he finished his career with 611 career points, which places him fourth all time.
He passed Max Quinzani, who totaled 577 career points with Duxbury (Mass.) from 2003 to 2006.
McCormack is just the fourth player to total at least 600 points and places fourth overall with 362 goals and 13th all-time with 249 career assists.
McCormack set Massachusetts’ single-season point scoring record with 191 points during his junior year. He scored 134 goals and 57 assists in helping the Mounties to the Central/West Division III title.
During his senior year, McCormack had nine games of at least 10 points. He had the second-best game of the year when he totaled 15 points on 10 assists and five goals in a June 5 game against St. Bernard’s (Mass.). He tied for second-most goals in a game with a 10-goal outburst against Wahconah (Mass.) on April 17.
