Nick Galasso finished as Long Island’s all-time leading scorer with 500 points. Galasso holds West Islip program records for the most points in a season (136), goals in a season (72) and goals in a single game (11). Galasso earned a spot on the Lions varsity team as an eighth grader and went on to earn Newsday Long Island Player of the Year, MSG Player of the Year and three-time team MVP honors in addition to winning four state championships. Galasso was rated as the No. 1 prospect by Inside Lacrosse for the class of 2010.
The West Islip athlete, started his college career at North Carolina, where he set freshman records for points and assists in a season, as well as assists in a game. Galasso was the ACC Freshman of the Year and a USILA Third Team All-American. He transferred to Syracuse and finished his college career with the Orange, scoring 49 goals and 13 assists for 62 points in 30 games. As a senior, Galasso earned USILA Second Team All-American as well as ECAC Division I Men’s Lacrosse All-Star Team First-Team honor.
